The Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte canceled the deal of helicopters to Canada that is worth $233 million.

"I want to tell the Armed Forces to cut the deal." Do not go ahead and somehow we will look for another supplier. We respect the stand of Canada. "


President Rodrigo Duterte said this when he canceled the purchase of the 16 Bell 412EPI helicopters from Canada.

Some politicians in Canada are saddened by the sale of helicopters to the Duterte Administration. It may be used for human rights abuse, some said. The Philippine government insisted that helicopters will be used only in rescue missions.
